Hi Aunt Vadge,

I was having a personal session and since it’s my first time fingering myself, I used a condom to be safe. As I pulled out my finger along with the condom, I noticed a slimy whitish substance on the condom, it came in chunks. There is no smell or bleeding. I’m nervous about this situation, please help.

Sincerely,

Dear Nervous,

It sounds like your vagina is a bit on the yeasty side – cottage-cheese-like chunks are pretty normal for a bit of a yeasty vag. Never fear – you shant die. A yeasty vagina can be solved quite easily by increasing fermented foods in your diet or taking a probiotic. If you are not getting any other symptoms, it is likely you are completely normal and healthy. Yeast does not mean you are unhealthy, but it could be a good signal for you that it could be an issue in future. Signs of a more advanced yeast infection are itching, irritation, and a feeling of rawness.

Yeast normally lives in the vagina, and sometimes it gets a bit overgrown, typically because of what we’re eating, which feeds the yeast in our intestine, which then in turn increases the yeasts in our vaginas. If you drop carbs (potatoes, bread, pasta, white rice) for a few days, you can often get rid of a yeast infection/overgrowth quite quickly, without symptoms.

You also don’t need to use a condom when you finger yourself, so long as your hands are clean.

Welcome to masturbating! You sound

Warmest regards,
Aunt Vadge
