Aunt Vadge: I’m new to fingering, and it bled a little bit the last time – why?

I started fingering myself from January 2018. Whenever I fingered myself I never bled. A few days ago while I was doing it, I bled a bit. Is it normal? (BTW I am a virgin and no one has fingered my yet). I am a bit scared. HELP!

Welcome to fingering! Sometimes we can cut ourselves by mistake while fingering ourselves – you may have had a too-long or too-sharp fingernail, and nicked the inside of your vagina or your labia. This isn’t uncommon, but you’ll get better at fingering yourself and avoiding pain. It can take a while – especially when it feels good at the time, but then bleeds or hurts – to figure out your vagina, but you’ll get there. Consider this part of your learning experience! By the time you are an old lady, so many interesting and weird things will happen to your vagina, so count this is maybe the first.
As long as the bleeding stops and doesn’t happen again, you have nothing to worry about. It will heal, and you will be completely fine!
Write back if you have any more concerns, the bleeding hasn’t stopped, or you can feel pain.
