Hey there Scared,
Lots of people are scared of needles, so you are not alone there!
What this means for your ingrown hair, however, is that you’ll need to try another approach.
You need to gently remove the membrane layer of skin that is trapping the hair underneath – in the past I have used tweezers (pull the entire top off, unfold hair), the sharp point of a pair of nail scissors (dig into the edges and very gently pick the top off, unfold the hair with the end (allow it to be set free), and you’re home free.
It certainly doesn’t have to be a needle. Just be gentle, and go slow – soon enough you will be able to see the folded-over hair, so flick it out so the end is free, and your ingrown hair is no longer.
